Nothing much to show or report, but I wanted to record that I planted 'Ice Follies' and 'Barrett Browning' daffodils in my beds. Hopefully I'll see some blooms this year, I know I am very late on the planting.
good for you! those are two of my favorites! i was really late getting some of my crocuses out...i hope they manage. probably since it's been so warm that's not such a bad thing.
Hi Jen, You asked a ? on my blog, alliesinstitches, where you could get a better look at that Lei quilt...I didn't know how else to contact you except here! The quilt was done by the Maui Art Quilters, and you can see it here: http://quiltingspirit.blogspot.com/2010/10/piqf-preview.html
Thanks Allie -- REALLY beautiful quilting there! And Thanks Daricia as well, what crocuses did you plant? I keep meaning to plant some of those as well.
jen, i planted Crocus tommasinianus because they are species crocuses and supposed to be a little less interesting to squirrels than some of the others. unfortunately, they appear to have eaten a bunch of them anyway. i love the smaller size of these. they're so pretty with snowdrops, too.
You will love your Ice Follies. I have them planted here. They are big and luscious.
ReplyDeleteAnn, that is great hear! I'm glad I finally got some in the ground this year, its been on my to do list for way too long.
